These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of BuildingViolation.com and related website features operated by Building Violation LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
Building Violation LLC is a private service company. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with any municipal, county, state, or federal enforcement agency. We assist clients with building-code violation research, code-compliance matters, hearings, permits, inspections, correction filings, document coordination, penalty-mitigation matters, and related project administration.
We serve clients in New York City, South Florida, Maryland, and select other jurisdictions where we can appropriately coordinate the required local process and professionals. Contact us to coordinate client meetings and site visits.
Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. Building codes, agency procedures, hearing requirements, filing requirements, penalties, deadlines, and property conditions vary by jurisdiction and may change. Website content does not constitute legal, architectural, engineering, accounting, or other licensed professional advice.
Paid client work is governed by the proposal, service agreement, progress report, change authorization, payment terms, or other written project document accepted by the client. If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these website Terms of Use, the project-specific written agreement controls for that project.
A website inquiry, telephone call, form submission, or preliminary discussion does not by itself create a professional-services engagement or require Building Violation LLC to begin work.
Fees, deposits, phase payments, filing fees, government fees, professional fees, contractor costs, and other project charges are stated in the applicable project proposal or authorization. Work may be scheduled, continued, paused, or stopped in accordance with the payment and authorization terms of the applicable project agreement.
Government filing fees, penalties, permit fees, inspection fees, third-party professional fees, contractor costs, and other outside charges are not included unless expressly stated in writing.
Government agencies, hearing officers, inspectors, plan examiners, and other authorities make their own decisions. Building Violation LLC does not guarantee dismissal of a violation, reduction of a penalty, issuance of a permit, approval of a filing, passage of an inspection, agency acceptance, or completion by any particular date unless a specific written agreement expressly states otherwise.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, complete documents, access to the property when required, timely decisions, signatures, authorizations, and payments. Delays or incomplete information from a client, property occupant, professional, contractor, agency, or other third party may affect cost and timing.
Some matters require architects, engineers, electricians, plumbers, contractors, inspectors, attorneys, or other licensed professionals. Building Violation LLC may coordinate with such professionals where required. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a written agreement, those professionals are responsible for the work, certifications, drawings, calculations, licenses, and professional judgments within their respective scopes.
Information submitted through website forms, email, text, or electronic intake tools may be used to evaluate and administer your inquiry or project. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically concerning your inquiry, proposal, authorization, payment, scheduling, project status, and related service matters.
The BUILDING VIOLATION™ mark and branding, website design, text, graphics, forms, processes, and original website materials are owned by or licensed to Building Violation LLC unless otherwise indicated. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit our original website materials without permission.
This website may link to government websites, payment providers, forms, mapping services, contractors, professionals, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, security, content, or independent acts of third-party websites or services.
