BUILDING COMPLAINTS & RESOLUTION

Propose inspection times that can actually work

Set clear appointment windows, visit purposes, participants, and entry arrangements before a building assessment.

Define the visit

State whether the proposed appointment is for observation, measurements, testing, a repair estimate, or authorized work. Identify who expects to attend and whether another unit or common area is involved. A resident should know what is being requested before confirming availability.

Confirm the practical details

Offer more than one appointment window where possible. Name the person providing access, the arrival contact, relevant scheduling restrictions, and any accommodation request. Confirm the arrangement in writing, including how cancellation or delay will be communicated. Availability listed on an intake form is not blanket permission to enter.

Move the concern toward a documented result

After the visit, record who attended, what areas were accessed, what was observed, and what could not be evaluated. Additional work may require another appointment or separate authorization. Building Violation LLC can assist with mutually agreed scheduling; participants remain responsible for confirming the access arrangements appropriate to the property and visit.

Get help with this concern

Residents: submit a building complaint with your property address, a description of the condition, and permission for Building Violation LLC to contact the parties you identify. Owners and managers: request a separately priced scope for assessment, repair coordination, or closeout. Initial resident coordination is free within the service limits; technical work requires separate authorization.

A PRACTICAL NEXT STEP

Let’s organize the concern.
Then define the next step.

Residents can request free initial coordination. Owners and managers can discuss a separately approved professional scope.
