Choose the appropriate channel
Submitting a concern to Building Violation LLC asks a private company to review it for coordination. It does not create a NYC agency service request or arrange a City inspection. If you want an official response, use the relevant government reporting channel directly. Private coordination can proceed alongside an agency matter, subject to the service limits.
NYC maintenance concerns
NYC HPD directs residents with unresolved housing maintenance concerns to 311. Keep the service request number and subsequent agency notices with your records. Tell us if an official matter already exists so communications can distinguish the agency’s actions from private coordination. Do not assume that sending us a notice extends an agency deadline.
Immediate danger
Do not use this form to request immediate emergency response. Call 911 for an immediate emergency. Describe the location and danger directly to the emergency operator. A private form receipt is not confirmation that an emergency responder has been notified.
Keep the records distinct
Record the date and reference for each official report separately from the Building Violation LLC submission reference. A repair appointment does not by itself establish agency closure.
