BUILDING COMPLAINTS & RESOLUTION

A clearer way to present your building concern

Learn what to include in a building complaint, what information may be shared, and how free initial resident coordination works.

Start with what you know

Describe the condition in everyday language. Include the address and unit, the room or common area involved, when you first noticed the problem, and whether it is happening now. You do not need to identify the technical cause. A dated description such as “water appeared above the kitchen window after Tuesday’s rain” is more useful than an unsupported accusation.

Tell us what has already happened

List earlier messages, appointments, repairs, and responses. Attach only relevant photographs or documents and identify anything you do not want shared with management. If you do not know the manager’s email or the owner’s name, say so. An unknown contact is better than an incorrect one.

Understand the exchange

You authorize Building Violation LLC to contact the parties you identify and share the concern materials you approve. Initial coordination is free within the service limits. We may offer separately priced professional services to an owner or manager. Your submission does not authorize expenses, a settlement, unrestricted entry, or legal representation.

After you submit

A receipt confirms delivery, not acceptance or a technical finding. Staff review the information and may request clarification before deciding whether to proceed. We cannot require another party to respond. You can correct your information or withdraw permission for future coordination by emailing [email protected] with your submission reference. Submit a Complaint when your information and sharing choices are ready.

A PRACTICAL NEXT STEP

Let’s organize the concern.
Then define the next step.

Residents can request free initial coordination. Owners and managers can discuss a separately approved professional scope.
